At the core of AllianceChicago’s health information technology (HIT) solutions is the electronic health record (EHR), GE Centricity™. Harnessing the experience of scores of health centers and hundreds of clinicians, we have developed customized content, implementation approaches and workflow insights to support the comprehensive multidisciplinary care delivered by community health centers. Building from this core, AllianceChicago assists health centers in evaluating and implementing other HIT applications and tools to extend functionality and improve efficiency.

Patient Engagement

The Community Health Center model recognizes the importance of consumers as active participants in optimizing their own health. Consequently, AllianceChicago focuses on tools and approaches that help to better connect the clinical team with consumers. These efforts include identification of tools to extend the EHR, such as the patient portal, consumer friendly summaries and views of information, and research to improve effectiveness of communication.

AllianceChicago maintains a cadre of experts in all aspects of health information technology, including clinical informatics, IT infrastructure, interoperability, data analytics, clinical workflow analysis and design, training, clinician support and change management. Access to these resources is made available to health centers at rates significantly below the market.
