Please help us welcome our newest AllianceChicago team members – Bridget Schafer! 

Ms. Schafer joined AllianceChicago in June 2018 as our HIT Practice Coordinator. She has been in the Information Technology field for many years. She has a solid understanding of the IT service delivery system. She comes to us from Hill Country Community Clinic (Hill Country) where she held the positions of both COO and CIO. Ms. Schafer was responsible for all the operations of the medical, dental and behavioral health departments, as well as Information Technology. She took Hill Country’s three service departments from paper to the electronic health record in 2012. Ms. Schafer has successfully taken Hill Country to a Patient Centered Medical Home level 3 and they have held that status since 2013. Ms. Schafer was also responsible for the Meaningful Use program were Hill Country has received payments for the past 7 years. She helped the dental team implement the Dental EHR using the Alliance content and then converted the dental department to Visdental just last year. Ms. Schafer lead the workflow reengineering work for the front office, the QI team and the care coordination team. She included many crystal reports that changed the way work was done within these areas.

At AllianceChicago, Ms. Schafer will serve as the lead on GE Centricity Training and Education. She will also work with all contracted Primary Care Associations and will assist with EMR upgrades.
